After more than 18 years we have decided to cease providing Bed & Breakfast at The Croft Cottage.
We have welcomed many visitors from various parts of the world since we opened in April 1998 but have now decided to enjoy our garden and animals with more time for the family, our local commitments - and our unique position in the English countryside.
However, if you wish to visit this unspoilt part of the English countryside, there are many other places offering either self-catering or bed-and-breakfast. I can recommend www.ludlow.org.uk/ for South Shropshire in particular or Alastair Sawdays for anywhere in the world.
If you have visited us in the past, thank you - we enjoyed having you!
Many of you were kind enough to write poems about Hope Bagot and staying here, so until this website is removed completely, I have left them for you to read, along with the notes on Hope Bagot and the area.
Goodbye from David & Elizabeth Hatchell
